ashley + mike.

ashley + mike, ashley + mike…i probably could have played with them all afternoon if there weren’t prior superbowl obligations (…team beyonce!). as i said in my last post, they had so much chemistry and exuded love. they just fit! i loved this shoot because i wasn’t posing them or even giving them much direction. i’d shout ‘be cuddly…wuddly?’ and they’d just get it. and then i’d melt into a pile of sappiness.

also, this post is a clunker. but i couldn’t pick my favorites and loved what we ended up with.

So cute! They are darling couple. Great job Brooke!

one from tonight: ashley + mike.

ummm, ya. these two were an absolute blast to shoot and had some serious, serious chemistry. you are feeling it right? they were so much fun + so, so in love. boy was just waiting for the ‘ready, kiss!’ green light. here’s a teaser:

(or two! what, i have no self control…)

the happiest + the laughiest. just shoot me dead.

Cute! You really are awesome with capturing natural emotion!

i’ve got friends in low places: nikki.

you know the type of friend that you don’t even really consider a friend because they seem so inextricably bound to you? i would say that they feel like a sister but that sounds too mushy and gushy so i’ll just stick with ‘inextricably bound.’ anyways, nikki is one of those friends. i oftentimes look over my mom’s shoulder to see that she is texting nikki + have received multiple snapchats of her just sitting in my living room, snuggled up to my sisters.

this shoot was fun! i had just gotten a new lens and was extra excited about it so i dragged her out into the cold (and i mean cold) idaho terrain as we numbly snapped away. ain’t she a beauty?

yeah, she used to pinch me every day in 3rd grade. no big deal.

I love all the winter pictures. Totally freezing. But everything looks so bright and fresh to me. Great shots!

a collective dayum.

c’mon, you know it’s the truth; there’s the funniest child and the smartest child and maybe the wildest child (or in my case, the funniest smartest wildest child?), and here we have our most wife-able child.

but seriously boys. this is my sister paige. she’s not eighteen, if ya can believe it. in fact, she’s fourteen. yes. fourteen.

and did i mention she makes the best chocolate chip cookies in the whole world? and used to volunteer to organize my room? and still does my hair + picks out my outfits? and is drop. dead. gorgeous?

enough about her.

also, let it be noted: these pictures were taken inches away from 50 mph traffic right next to a tree farm in idaho on a blistery cold afternoon. snow, a faux-fur vest, and the most wife-able child? money.

isn’t this one so very twilight-esque?i looked at these pictures and felt proud of ’em. and that feels pretty d a m n good.

Ummmm. . .. seriously Paige!?! All you Mosman girls are quite the lookers (can I include myself in that, or would that be weird?!) ha ha ha! These are awesome!

I can’t believe how grown up your sisters are… they’re both beautiful(: they take after their sister of course ha. hope all is well(:

…and i’m here.

ready, set, spill: i don’t like doing things i think i might fail at. i know, i know. there are some serious underlying psychological issues there to be examined but…ummm…what’d you eat for dinner today?

for some reason, it took a whole lot of courage and whole lot of you’re the best in the world!(!!!!) texts from my sweet mother for me to finally put on my big girl panties and put myself out there. i am a photographer! i take pictures! with my fancy camera! hear me roar!

are you hearing me? i’m roaring right now. and i’m pushing aside my fears that people will roll their eyes or not totally dig my work and i’m r o a r i ng.

…i guess what i’m trying to say is, this is all a giant work-in-progress. a completely wonderful and slightly frightening work-in-progress. and aren’t we all?
